rclone-hermes is a private, single-user setup of the open-source tool rclone. Only its owner uses it, with their own Google account.
It requests one Google permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. With it, the tool can see, create, change and delete only the Google Drive files and folders that it created itself. It cannot see any other file in the owner's Drive.
It copies files between the owner's own computer, the owner's own server and a folder in the owner's own Google Drive. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any third party, and nothing is collected, sold, shared or used for advertising.
Files stay in the owner's Google Drive and on the owner's own machines. The sign-in token is stored only in rclone's configuration files on those machines.
Access can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Files the tool created stay in Google Drive until the owner deletes them.
Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
